What to Expect from Neuro Reset Technique
Clear answers to common questions.
So you can feel informed, comfortable and supported.
How many sessions will I need?
That depends on how long symptoms have been present, how your nervous system responds and what else is contributing. This is not a one-size-fits-all process.
How long is each session?
Most sessions last around one hour. This gives us enough time to work calmly and without rushing. If you’d like to explore more areas in one session, longer sessions (up to 2 hours) are also available. We can always talk about what feels right for you.
What is Neuro Reset Technique?
Neuro Reset Technique is a nervous system–based approach that focuses on how the brain communicates with the body. It looks at muscle recruitment, control, and how safe the nervous system feels, rather than treating specific injuries or diagnoses.
Can this help with stress or nervous system dysregulation?
Yes. This work supports nervous system regulation, which can influence how stress, tension and overwhelm are experienced in the body.
Do I need to change my lifestyle for this to work?
Sometimes. Nervous system health is influenced by sleep, stress, nutrition and environment. I may highlight areas that could support your progress, but changes are always your choice.
Do I work with neurodiverse individuals?
Yes. Neuro Reset Technique can support nervous system development and regulation. I don’t diagnose or treat neurodivergence, I help identify and support nervous system weaknesses that may be contributing to challenges.
Is this a replacement for medical care?
No. This work complements medical care but does not replace it. If you have concerns about injury, illness or diagnosis, you should always seek appropriate medical advice.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Wear something comfy that you can move easily in like leggings, joggers, or your usual gym clothes. Anything stretchy and relaxed is perfect.
Can this help if I’ve had pain for a long time?
Yes, especially when pain has lasted beyond normal healing times or when scans and tests don’t fully explain symptoms. Long-term pain is often linked to nervous system protection rather than tissue damage.
Will this get rid of my pain?
There are no guarantees. Pain is complex and influenced by many factors. The goal of this work is to help the nervous system feel safer and regain control which often leads to symptom improvement, but outcomes vary.
Does NRT hurt?
Not usually. Most of the work is gentle and comfortable. You might feel a bit of pressure or brief discomfort at times, but nothing should feel painful. We always work at a pace your body is happy with.
Do you treat injuries or conditions?
No. I don’t diagnose or treat injuries, conditions or diseases. I work with the brain and nervous system to improve control and reduce protective responses that often contribute to ongoing symptoms
How is this different from other Modalities?
This work doesn’t focus on stretching, strengthening or treating tissues directly. Instead, it looks at why the body is holding tension, losing strength or struggling to recover, often because the nervous system still feels under threat.
